At Sandbach Primary Academy we are an inclusive school that welcomes and celebrates diversity amongst our pupils. We are fully committed to providing a safe, secure and nurturing environment and aim to fully include children with Special Educational needs and Disabilities into all aspects of school life.  At Sandbach Primary Academy, every effort is made to provide all children with a broad and balanced curriculum, including the National Curriculum. For children with Special Educational Needs, this may well be accessed through School Support Plans and differentiation of activities and tasks within class.

In supporting children with special educational needs, we aim to:

  • Promote the early identification of children with special needs.

  • Help the child with special educational needs fulfil his or her potential.

  • Promote awareness of children with special needs.

  • Foster good relations between staff, parents/carers, support services and other outside agencies.

As a school we monitor all children closely to ensure they are receiving the correct level of support in order to meet their full potential. However, we also recognise that as parents you know your child best and if you feel that your child needs some additional help or support during their time at school please get in touch with our SENCO Mrs Claire Caldwell.

On this page you can also find links to our Local Offer which explains in more detail the support we can offer your child, our SEN information report, our Trust SEND policy and links to Cheshire East Livewell site where you can find additional parental support from the local authority.

Cheshire East Local Offer and Support Services:

The Local Offer is a document published by the Local Authority which sets out all the information about the actual provision across education, health and social care, they expect to be available for children and young people in the area, who have SEN or are disabled.
